Jay-J
Electronic Discussions
After 20 years, rocking the world’s most infamous nightclubs, logging numerous hours in recordings studios around the globe, Jay-J has established himself as one one of the top, ground breaking Producers in dance music.
Jay-J’s second studio album Electronic Discussions, features a more experimental sound with a focus on simple melodic themes combined with his signature infusion of house sensibilities and top notch production work. This Album explores a range of genres while remaining true to Jay-J’s heritage in the house music underground.
“Although my roots are song oriented dance music, I chose to explore a more dubby, melodic style reminiscent of my earlier work”, says Jay-J.
His exploration and resulting new direction marks a refreshing departure for this Grammy® nominee, taking his audience on an experimental, track based journey, forging a new boundary in this genre.

“Man, much like a sculptor Jay J has risen again to the masses to please the discerning ear and also coax in fresh ears. The heads will agree this is something not to be missed. Lovin’ Kiss’s peaceful and mellow journey, Ground Work takes on that same emotion but a chuggier deep groove reels in the soul. Can’t deny Too Hot’s sultry vocal and the warmth of the summer time jam. Make Some Noise isn’t my style but its a party tune the kids will enjoy. In Our System is the kinda freaky joint I can dig and also belt out for the dancefloor as the low rumble makes em move, the rmx is tight and funky. I’ll def drop this on the radio show.”
- Marc Oxide Lacasse
“Love these sounds Jay-J!! I’ll play a lot- Ground Work, Too Hot and Havin A Lie-In. Respect!”
- Cesare ‘boogeyman’ Cera
“Great album something different with cool chill-out tracks… Ground Work hands down is my fav.”
- Darren Holland
“Another great project Jay…will definitely get play here in Miami.”
- DJ Erv
“Different but nice. Cruising Altitude, Ground Work, Ecuadorian Sunset, and Having a Lie-in are the ones that stand out for me!”
- Christos Kedras

Awesome!!! Loving the movement from Your normal stuff.

In Our System is the kinda freaky joint i can dig and also belt out for the dancefloor as the low rumble makes em move, the rmx is tight and funky additions
reach up is prob my fav here, funky dirty all in one for all types of crowds
i’ll def do a full review and drop this on the radio show when i get the full LP
Beautiful
I listen JJ since he produced music with Chris Lum ….I think some tracks got good sounds, I take the kicking one, like “Do That Dance”….but for my modest opinion…many tracks got the dubby feeling in a “too clean” way…good chill-out listening but the feeling is like…. something is missing. I am sure JJ could do something a bit more raw or techier wihout loosing his musical silk touch having a new-old different direction keeping the classic way too.
Thx for leaving me explain my opinion.
